Food and Friends: Becoming more healthy and resilient with farmers

Spread the love

Hi, I’m Olivia, your exploratory friend who loves to share local food with friends. This curiosity and desire to connect my friends to our local farmers has become the direct mailing service (boring name for a curated email sent directly to you, sharing information about our awesome local farms).

Jersey’s Agriculture Email List has been in process for a few months and officially launched on October 1, 2025. If you’re reading this early, CONGRATULATIONS! you can sign up below:

Our Local Farmers

As of October 2025 we have five different local farms and a local Youtuber. The emails are there bridge the gap and get everyone involved and aware of new opportunities, pick up events, and discounts from our farmers. Here is our current list of farms:

Blueberry Hill Farm

Our wonderful host for the fall, Blueberry Hill Farm has excellent you-pick blueberries in the summer and ample different jam, jelly, and vinegar flavors throughout the rest of the year. Learn More on Facebook.

Silver Feather Farm

Whole pasture raised chicken is Silver Feather Farm’s specialty, and they include medicinal herbs and more on their website. Facebook and Website.

Uncle John’s Apiary

Local to Mullica Hill, Uncle John’s Apiary has multiple hives encouraging local pollinators and producing wonderful honey. Learn more on Facebook.

Unexpected Farm

Unexpected Farm specializes in flowers, pumpkins, pies, and more seasonal produce. They also have rendered and whipped tallow which is excellent for the skin. Learn more on their Facebook.

Chaynging Hearts Farm

Home to wonderful goats, Chaynging Hearts Farm sells homemade goat milk soap and more. Facebook and Website to Order Online.

Rise and Shine Suburban Homestead
